CHANGE OF DATE - DUE TO PARALYMPIC MARATHON

The National Service of Remembrance & Wreath Laying Ceremony -

Sunday 16th September 2012

1. The Memorial Service

The Service will be held at The Priory Church of St Bartholomew the Great.

Those wishing to attend should take their seats by 11:45hrs. The Church does have some limitations on size and whilst every effort will be made to seat everyone, some standing may be necessary.

After the Service, at about 13.00 hours, the bands standards and attendees will parade to the Firefighters Memorial. (anticipated route via Giltspur Street, New Gate Street and Warwick Lane)

Bandspersons and Ceremonial personnel should endeavour to be at the City of London School before 10.30 hours. Facilities for changing etc. will be available. After a briefing the Ceremonial teams will parade at 1045 and move to the Church.

2. The Wreath Laying ceremony

At approximately 13.20 hours, at the National Firefighters Memorial, the Wreath Laying Ceremony will begin. It is anticipated that dispersal will be no later than 14.00 hours.

There is no seating, or cover for inclement weather, provided at the Memorial.

Car parking is available at number of off street parking sites in the vicinity. There is also some on street parking available on a Sunday
